Vet Assistant - Part-Time

We’re looking for a dependable part-time Veterinary Assistant who shares our passion for pets and people and brings energy, focus, and a genuine love for animals to our team.

We’re proud of our team-focused, supportive culture, where everyone pitches in and no one faces a busy day alone. You’ll work alongside five veterinary assistants and a licensed veterinary technician to support our two experienced veterinarians, all dedicated to providing gentle, high-quality care to the dogs and cats of the Rockdale community.

We believe you can love your job and have a life outside of it. There are no on-call or weekend hours required. We are open weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Flexible hours and days.

Responsibilities:

As a vet assistant, you will:

Assist doctors and technicians during exams
Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for whatever the day brings
Support diagnostic and treatment procedures to help the day run smoothly
Safely restrain patients (yes, even the dramatic ones!) while keeping their comfort top of mind
Help create a calm, compassionate experience for every pet

This position also includes reception responsibilities, such as:

Greeting clients with a warm and professional demeanor
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Managing medical records accurately
Creating a welcoming visit from check-in to check-out

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting (required)
Ability to commute to Conyers, GA 30013 (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
Ability to lift animals and stand for long periods
Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
